The Senate

The big news from Zig Zag: Senate Joint Resolution 35, which proposes to repeal the seventeenth amendment. This would mean state legislatures would choose senators, rather than the popular vote. By coincidence, this month’s issue of Harper’s makes the case for abolishing the senate altogether.
