If you're interested in learning more about writing efficiently and with real enjoyment, I recommend Robert Boice's book "Professors as Writers." There you will find the clearest description of Boice's program for overcoming writer's block and procrastination. The book is available as a trade paperback published by New Forum's Press. You can order it through Amazon.com. I'm a psychologist who teaches a graduate course on how to teach writing through LessonLab/St. Xavier University in Chicago. My research on the psychology of writing has appeared in Applied Psycholinguistics, a professional journal published by Harvard's Cambridge University Press. In my opinion, "Professors as Writers" is the definitive book on overcoming writer's block. Unlike some of Boice's publications, which can be a bit vague and discursive, this one presents an easy-to-understand method for writing with efficiency and enjoyment. Boice's recommendations have worked for me, and they can work for you.

Good luck and happy writing,

Boris Bakunas, Ph.D.
