Today’s edition of the Electoral Vote Predictor gave the results of an interesting Ohio University poll. These results tell an important story:
| Pollster | Dates | Kerry | Bush |
| Ohio University | Oct. 3-13 | 50 | 44 |
| Ohio University | Oct. 3-13 | 50 | 45 |
| Ohio University | Oct. 3-13 | 47 | 48 |
This is one single nationwide poll of 1,022 people. The first set gives the results from all the respondents (age 18+ citizens). The second set narrows the results down based on whether the respondents are registered voters. The third set narrows the results further based on whether the respondents are likely voters.
In the first two sets of results, Kerry leads the polls outside the margin of error. In the third set of results, Bush leads the polls, but within the margin of error.
Folks, it doesn’t matter whether you vote Republican or Democrat. Your vote does count, and this is simply yet another demonstration of that. Whatever happens, even if you believe the system is fixed somehow, there’s no room for you to complain if you don’t actually go to the polls and vote.
