The case for separated bicycle lanes

New York City is a great city. And with recent initiatives to create new separated bike lanes (Video) throughout the city, New York is on its way to becoming more great.

How to implement a separated bicycle lane in the city

Perhaps solutions like this can be used in Cobb County, where Columns drive recently (and unnecessarily) became a battleground between some cyclists and drivers.

Not to mention, this would’ve been nice if the City of Atlanta had thought of this before they repaved Spring and W. Peachtree Streets.

  1. Up until very recently I Rode a Bicycle Everywhere and I live in little 5 points. I can personally attest to the bicycle unfriendliness of Atlanta. Though, it’s not downtown that I found difficult. It’s the areas around downtown to the east and west of the P’tree, Spring, Peidmont corridor, the areas along Northside and B’vard that get really dangerous.
